Heading Out

From time to time, friends swap images with us. A couple days ago Joan Peterson took a helicopter tour of Boot Key Harbor down at Marathon in the Keys. Wish I had done that. She sent me just a stunning shot looking out into the Straits of Florida by Seven Mile Bridge. Wish I had taken that one. She did. The image is a must see so Post Cards has a guest photographer.

Winter Dreaming

If I were clever I would spin an image title off the Mamas and Papas “California Dreaming” for indeed the sky is gray on this winter’s day but there is absolutely no temptation to a take a walk.

The East Coast wide yucky winter weather at the least seems appropriate to inspire dreams of being elsewhere – maybe wandering about Costa Rica’s Corcovado National Park. The best I can do is hide in my cave before lunch and mess with and maybe mess up images. This sure isn’t a Costa Rican rain forest. The rain comes from pipes and a timer as this image takes us to MontrĂ©al’s Botanical Garden greenhouses.

New Day, New Year

A new day for a new year. How hoked up cool it would be if that moon were also a new moon. Just a plain old waning moon. Maybe too much new year’s eve partying. Oh well, let’s keep the bad jokes to a minimum and all keep life as simple and clean as Dee’s image and it will be a good year

Greetings for a New Year

Our best wishes to everyone. Otherwise we have nothing allegedly profound to stuff down your throats.

If we must list our this-is-everything-we-did-last-year summary: we took a gazillion images, four people asked to have prints of our images done (always all available – image is free – printing is on whomever), two magazines asked for articles and images (they pay!).

If we must provide a directive for the year: go try something new and different. Dee did and it turned out quite well.
