We know, sorta know, some of Charleston’s streets so going back to check what’s going on has it’s rewards.  Last year one property with a lovely iron gate had a For Sale sign on the gate. This year no sign but when we checked the gate was open and a parked car filled what would have been the scene. So we can remember to check again.

And then there’s the Sword Gate, quite well known but difficult to photograph. When the gate is closed it’s an in-your-face situation. And one with a dark background. This morning the gate was open just enough; the light was just right. What more could one ask for? What’s most interesting is the two differing images – same time same place – differing stories to tell.
